Stainless steel ball terminals for crimping for 3mm - 4mm ropes
Our saltwater resistant V4A AISI 316 stainless steel ball terminals are ideal for crimping as end connections for steel cables, especially for sheathed steel cables for fitness equipment. The ball terminals can be rolled on or pressed onto the steel cable using hydraulic pressing tools.
Tested quality: Due to the processing of rustproof V4A stainless steel, the rope terminals can be exposed to difficult weather conditions. In connection with the hydraulic pressing pliers from our online store, the following breaking forces of the terminals could be determined:
- 4mm (3 on 4) with ball terminals: 835kg
- 5mm (4 on 5) with ball terminals: 1.131kg
Caution. The breaking forces of the ball terminals are given without safety factor. Please note that a suitable safety factor must be included for their application. The detailed test reports can be found under "Test reports" on the article page.
Easy handling: With the help of our hydraulic crimping pliers, the rope terminal can be quickly and safely attached to the steel rope. Please note that crimping with a simple hand crimping pliers, such as our 2-in-1 crimping pliers & wire rope cutter, is not possible. To ensure a high breaking load, the sheathing must be removed from sheathed steel cables before crimping.
Optimal application possibility: Our ball terminals can be optimally used as end connection of steel ropes for fitness equipment. Due to the possibility of in-house production, the exact length of the steel cable does not have to be defined in advance, but can be individually adapted to the conditions on site. Due to the fixed crimping, a subsequent separation of the steel cable from the terminal is not possible. Due to the spherical head, the terminal serves as an inconspicuous rope stopper that can be attached to suitable anchor points in conjunction with the steel rope and prevents the rope from slipping.
Easy expansion options: Our ball terminals can of course be combined with all sheathed steel cables for fitness equipment of the thicknesses 4mm (3 on 4) and 5mm (4 on 5) or with 3mm and 4mm stainless steel cables from the store of Drahtseile24 and pressed with the hydraulic pressing pliers.
