Stainless steel rope black in 2mm - 6mm thickness with shroud tensioner & screw terminal
Our saltwater resistant and black colored stainless steel ropes made of V4A(AISI 316) stainless steel comply with DIN European Standard 13414-1 and are assigned to the rope classes 7x7 and 7x19, these are 7 strands with 7 or 19 wires each. The stainless steel ropes offer, due to the high number of individual wires, a high flexibility. The wire rope is pressed on one end with a stainless steel shroud tensioner with fork, in order to be able to tension the stainless steel rope. At the other end, the wire rope is swaged with a stainless steel screw terminal with M4, M5, M6, M8, M10 or M12 metric threads.
When using the shroud tensioner, please make sure to lubricate the threads before tensioning, using a stainless steel assembly paste. The stainless steel assembly paste prevents seizing or cold welding of stainless steel threads.
Tested quality: We only use high-quality industrial steel with the premium quality V4A AISI 316 for our stainless steel wire ropes, making the stainless steel wire rope resistant to both salt water and acids. With the help of several of our own calibrated universal tensile testing machines, we are able to guarantee seamless quality assurance. The following minimum breaking forces of the stainless steel cables with crimped terminals were determined in several test trials:
- 2mm / M4 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x7: 336kg
- 2mm / M5 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x7: 305kg
- 3mm / M6 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 764kg
- 4mm / M6 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 1,284kg
- 4mm / M8 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 1,254kg
- 5mm / M6 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 1.519kg
- 5mm / M8 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 1.732kg
- 5mm / M10 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 1.743kg
- 6mm / M8 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 2.344kg
- 6mm / M10 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 2.599kg
- 6mm / M12 threaded terminal with steel cable 7x19: 2,640kg
- 2mm shroud tensioner with steel cable 7x7: 336kg
- 3mm shroud tensioner with steel cable 7x19: 662kg
- 4mm rigging screw with steel cable 7x19: 1,274kg
- 5mm rigging screw with steel cable 7x19: 1,478kg
- 6mm rigging screw with steel cable 7x19: 2.650kg
Attention! The breaking forces of the terminals are specified without a safety factor. Please base your application on at least a 5-fold safety factor (example 3mm / 7x19 / shroud tensioner: 662kg (breaking load) : 5 (safety factor) = 130kg (payload)). Versatile uses: Stainless steel terminal ropes can be used for suitable guy wires for sailboats, for facade greening or for stainless steel railings. Due to their corrosion resistance, stainless steel ropes are increasingly used in outdoor applications.
