Stainless steel rope in 3-10mm thickness, thimble/thimble with turnbuckle eye/eyelet
Our salt water resistant stainless steel ropes A4(AISI 316) comply with the DIN European Standard 13414-1 and are assigned to the rope classes 7x7 and 7x19, which are 7 strands with 7 or 19 wires each. The high number of individual wires provides both high flexibility and increased stability. The wire rope is crimped at both ends with a thimble similar to DIN 6899 Form B to protect the wire rope at the load suspension point. In addition, the wire rope is grouted with a stainless steel turnbuckle DIN 1480 with eyelets.
Tested quality: Our stainless steel tension ropes are made of high quality VA stainless steel, with extensive corrosion protection. The stainless steel ropes can therefore be used even under severe weather conditions. Due to the eye element of the turnbuckle and the associated high breaking forces, the tension ropes can be used for stable guy wires. Using calibrated universal tensile testing machines, the following minimum breaking forces of the turnbuckles could be determined:
- M5: 1,202kg
- M6: 1,406kg
- M8: 2,833kg
- M10: 4.597kg
- M12: 4.994kg
Attention. The working load of the stainless steel tensioning ropes is given with a 5-fold safety factor to the minimum breaking load. You can find the detailed test reports under "Test reports" on the article page.
Versatile uses: The wire ropes are used for securing, lifting and suspending suitable loads in the craft, bridge, engineering and shipbuilding industries, among others. Especially with the help of the turnbuckle, the wire rope can be tightened and the elastic effect can be regulated.
Various extension options: The stainless steel tension rope can of course be attached with suitable snap hooks, shackles or quick links, or another turnbuckle can be tensioned.
