Turnbuckle DIN 1480 eye / eyelet M6 - M20
Our silver galvanized turnbuckles comply with the DIN European Standard 1480 and consist of an open clamping sleeve and two eye bolts with metric M6, M8, M10, M12, M14, M16 or M20 left/right threads.
Tested quality: With the help of several own calibrated universal tensile testing machines we are able to guarantee a complete quality assurance. Due to the closed eyelets, the drop-forged turnbuckles can also demonstrate very high breaking forces. We were able to determine the following minimum breaking forces:
- M6: 800kg
- M8: 1,400kg
- M10: 2,500kg
- M12: 3,500kg
- M14: 4.000kg
- M16: 5.000kg
- M20: 10.091kg
Attention. When specifying the minimum breaking load, no safety factor is taken into account. The working load of the turnbuckles according to DIN 1480 is specified with a 5-fold safety factor to the minimum breaking load. Easy handling: With the help of the right-hand and left-hand thread, the wire rope tensioner can be tensioned and released very easily and quickly.
Easy expansion options: Our wire rope tensioners can of course be combined with matching steel cables, tensioning ropes or wire rope sets from the Drahtseile24 store. . The turnbuckle can be connected to the steel cable with quick links or matching shackles. When using turnbuckles and wire ropes, we recommend the following combination:
- M6: wire ropes up to a thickness of 4mm.
- M8: 5mm wire rope
- M10: 6mm - 8mm wire ropes
- M12: 10mm wire ropes
- M14: 12mm wire ropes
- M16: 14mm wire ropes
- M20: 16mm wire ropes
